Cork is a 100% natural, renewable and recyclable material, the harvesting of which preserves the tree and promotes biodiversity while storing carbon.

A pioneer in the cork industry in the Landes region, Au Liégeur embodies all the richness and tradition of the area, thanks to the innovation and expertise of its teams.

No trees are felled to harvest cork: the bark of the cork oak tree renews itself every 10 years.

Each kilogram of cork harvested has captured 50 kg of CO²: the cork oak is a powerful carbon sink. It is estimated that in Europe, cork oak forests capture and sequester more than 10 million tonnes of CO² every year.
